We're looking into using Double Click for a client that's about to launch a new site with online advertising.

Any ideas on how much resource is required for ad trafficking? Initially the client will launch one site and is expecting around 200,000 page impressions per month. This will probably be done in-house but have unsure whether this is a full time job and if so what skills are required.

Also, any feedback on Double Click or alternatives...?

    Hi Louise,

Doubleclick is one of the leading adservers on the market, so you are not going too far wrong with the solution.

As for ad trafficking, i do reckon on a 200k a month site, i wouldn't think you would need more than 20 hours work  per month for trafficking, campaign management and optmisation.
I would advise having someone on board that has publisher trafficking experience and is familar with the chosen adserver.

There are lots of adservers out there on the market. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, it just depends on what you are looking for and what your budget is.

Feel free to contact me if you want more advise on ad serving and trafficking. I am always happy to help, you can email me on joni@lemontraffic.com
e-consutancy also have a good buyers guide to ad serving solutions that you can check out.

    All the best
